You can thank the Latin Heat who certain posters have bagged on here for being a pointless Aussie hobby team

The RLIF are not going to and probably can't now change who's in the RLWC 17, BUT, they must start enforcing the rules on domestic activity for the next WC and do it within the Qualifying Series. eg, you can't participate in WC Qualifying if you don't meet the criteria. There is enough nations doing things properly and they should be rewarded even if one of them makes the world cup and gets flogged i think it's better then a nation with no domestic activity at all being competitive with Heritage players.

The future of international league lies in emerging nations, not the home nations, in the Americas and the Baltics. Wake up RLIF!

It's not like the requirements are particularly strenuous.

4 senior teams and "evidence" of a youth program.

Chi, chi, chi, le, le, le - Viva Chile!!

Great job Latin Heat - our game has sprung up out of nowhere in Latin America thanks to their grass roots work starting with the ex-pat community in Australia.

I've heard of the Latin heat before, are there any notable players in the NRL of South American heritage?
Not that it detracts from the achievments of Chile if there isn't.
