Hmm...reported in the Rebecca Wilson gossip pages today was a quote from Channel Nine's Rugby League man Paul Vautin taken from a stint on Triple MMM aired Friday.

"City-Country, who cares?"

I am not going to start bashing once more the Footy Show or their clown prince, though this tid-bit has gone under radar and here is hoping the Fat man is taken to task over this considering his employer was covering the game later that night.

Most QLD'ers have the same attitude given it has no bearing on the S.O.O. for us, though the game should be taken for what it is and this type of comment from the "leader of the pack" is not needed.

Well done Fatty  Funny thing is, you have the hide to talk it up a little on Sunday's program...perhaps there was a tap on the shoulder from your employer.

I think Kimmorley's "waste of time" comment about the game on Perth is far more damaging for the code as a whole.

99% of Queenslanders will agree with Fatty, along with most club CEOs

It is important for its own sake (same line Vossy took) in that it takes top-flight NRL to the country.

Big smacks to those wanting it gone.

And Qld can start their own if they want.

City-Country is a waste of time.

It's the biggest who cares of the season. The worst friday football you can get.

Its a waste of time, in the sense that not all the top players are playing in it, and also players find ways to get out of playing the game so they are able to play for their club.
