did us a favour i think, not in our 17, hasnt played FG in nearly a year, coming off a horrific injury which could result in him never being the same player again.
Carney was reportably asking for 200k, if it wasnt someone else paying overs for him, we probably would have

He ordered something other than a skim latte at a Bondi coffee shop one morning, breaking one of the club rules and earning himself an immediate and justified release.

But seriously, no idea.

WATTS NEW

The Sydney Roosters have followed up the announcement they have signed Canberra's Justin Carney with confirmation they have also secured North Queensland utility Anthony Watts. Watts's manager Sam Ayoub yesterday said Watts, who has been in strong form for a poorly performing side, had agreed to a three-year deal with the Roosters. Watts's signature may spell the end of James Aubusson's stint with the club. With Jake Friend and now Watts on the club's books, and fellow hooker Aubusson off contract at the end of the season, the club is unlikely to re-sign the latter.

If Dugan comes along too, the Roosters will have one hell of a core to build around for years to come:

1. Dugan

6. Carney
7. Pearce

9. Friend

14. Watts

As far as I know, Watts was bought as an impact player.

Friend is pointless to have on the bench, as he doesn't offer any impact. He is a tough defender with good ball skills. Common sense will prevail if Friend starts and gets through the dirty work, with Watts coming on and wreaking havoc. Could always have them both on late in the game too.

How I loathe this gay sh*tty saying...
