Tight End for New England and halves coach for Melbourne

Wasn't Brady jealous they didn't offer it to him?

Cronk should be thankful to even get any work at all after retirement,a complete nobody without Slater and Smith, one of the worst halfbacks ever

Glad we've done this. Would make me a little ill seeing him line up against us. Also going to be great for Croft and Jacks to have the experience of Cronk sticking around

when i first heard of this talk Bellamy said it was a clause in his contract that he has to coach their halves if he retires

i hope that is included in the salary cap

If it was in fact written into his contract that he coaches the Storm halves after playing retirement, then yes, it should absolutely count in some way towards the cap.

No idea at all if this was the actual case though.

They are a well run club. More power to them.

Ignorant..

Pre news ltd sale they were subsidized to the tune of 8m of season, that's a grant more more than double all other clubs, post sale they still had a 4-5m advantage for 6 years to enable transition

They've had a double to 3 digit million $ handout greater than other clubs to get their platform and revenue streams right. The real test is the retirement of their chief salary cap rorters

what the f**k happened to the NRL's introduction of an off field salary cap?

this is a perfect example of why the storm are so far ahead of some clubs...they have 2 dozen specialist coaches and twice as many scouts across the country
How's this any different to all the clubs that have had Andrew Johns come in to help with their halves? Or the Broncos with Alfie Langer? Warriors with Stacey Jones? Did you have a cry about all them too? Or is it just Melbourne?
