Remember after they were caught rorting. Old mate Bellamy said he had no idea what was in the contracts. He was innocent.

Look at him now. Well, ahhhh, in Coopers contract, ahhh, we have this clause...
What exactly is the gripe you have with Cronk not playing RL and becoming a Back's coach ala Andrew Johns . . . you're not just blindly following the bleating are you

You're going to become AG's new bum buddy ol'mate, let's see if you follow him around longer than Silent Knight once did

Besmirching the holy name of Ol' mate Bellamy and the unblemished Storm? You better believe that's going to get you a paddling from the rough mob...

What team do you follow

Who I or anyone follows has no bearing on the point at hand which is whether Cronk signing a deal to be Storm halves coach pre retirement is a cynical attempt to back end payments to him outside the cap.

On the yes side is has been established:

- he will be flown to Melb from Sydney where he has moved to spend 1 or 2 days a week max with the halves. Deal estimated go be 200k a year. That is the remuneration far exceeds the service requirement.

- Bellamy stated on Triple M over the weekend that there was already a clause around coaching upon retirement in his current deal.

It looks and smellls like an inflated deal to be paid post career as a back end for the great service he has provided as a player. Would be interested to hear the alternative argument.

Arguing that team did it so it is ok or shooting down an opinion based on what team someone supports is not a valid argument.

Over to you...

Are you suggesting in Cronk's last contract this 'conspiracy' was hatched to stop him going to where he never intended to go. If your sense of smell is as accurate as you say it is you would've been locked out of the Roosters club when Fittler refused to move on and let nowhere near the Broncos when Lockyer was adding up his promises . . . I could go on and on but unfortunately it's all heresay

As far as asking what team you support it was just to use it as an example because I'm a RL tragic who follows all teams and wants each to be the best it can . . . do with that what you will

Except the Dogs..

And I don't think anyone gives a shit what the crooked nosed poet does with himself in retirement, as long as it wasn't written in a contract pre-determining it.

I get the feeling (without having heard any interview) what Bellamy said was tongue in cheek. But the prick is as dry as a weet bix and has no sense of humour/personality so it would be hard to pick up

But if not, its bullshit and they should be pulled up for it.

As a club I include the Dogs, they do have many supporters who are proud to be Australian

The question isn't about going elsewhere it's that his new coaching gig has to be included in the cap under the NRL's rules.

I think we all know the ramifications ol'mate if tongue in cheek is proven inadmissible. One good thing could come of it, Cronk might think twice and play for the Sharks with Maloney coming back to Melbourne . . . that's a conspiracy theory Ilike

He can become a hooker outside St Kilda BP for all I care. But if he has a post career clause in his contract he must have it declared under the cap. And far be it for me to hold doubts on Melbourne defrauding the cap...
