Might sound strange, because many including myself don't really rate him as a coach, but maybe we were better off keeping Ricky Stuart as coach.
After 2010 we were at our lowest. Clean sweeped and smashed in all e games. Ricky takes over, but his plan isn't to win, it's to rebuild. We seemed to focus on strengthening our defence, getting into the grind, containing some of the Queensland players who had it so easy in 2010. And in a way he succeeded. The next 2 series were 2-1, we were more competive, and we lost 2012 by a field goal in the last minutes. Ricky had taken us a fair way from 2010. But instead of building's from their we've stagnated. We haven't built on Rickys era. We haven't built on getting in the grind, keeping the game close. Limiting Queenslands opportunities. Queensland know they aren't going to get as many opportunities as they did in 09-10 and they've adapted. Daley has just continued on with Rickys foundation building, without actually building anything on top of that. A origin victory against the odds with an on fire hayne and a cronk broken arm has given him justification for not building's on that foundation. Ricky might have had a plan for going forward , but it's obvious daley hasn't

Laurie Daley apparently was walking down the tunnel thinking he was finished.

"NSW coach Laurie Daley is set to continue in the role next season after Wednesday night's last gasp 18-14 win but there may be some other changes to the Blues set-up, possibly including a move away from their Coffs Harbour training base, staff changes and the reintroduction of a selection panel.

It is understood Daley, who missed centre Michael Jennings' face-saving 79th-minute try after leaving the NSW coach's box early resigned to his side falling just short of victory for the third time in the series, was likely to have stood down if the Blues had lost again."
