The Appeals Court have vacated the injunction that had allowed Dallas to play, Elliott. He is now facing the six-game suspension that was handed down by the NFL in August for violating the personal conduct policy. So it looks like the ‘boys will be without their star running back till the end of November

The next three weeks will tell a lot about the season for the Cowboys. We play the Chiefs (5-2), Falcons (4-3) and Eagles (7-1). That is three teams with a combined record of 16-6. The good thing is that we play the Chiefs and Eagles at home. The bad is that Elliott will be missing for those three games, and also the following three.

We might not miss him so much against the Chiefs, who rank 26th in run defence. But against the much better performing Falcons and Eagles defences, who are ranked 11th and 1st respectively, he will be missed. Really will depend a lot on our great offensive line.

Big game in 3 weeks
Eagles get Denver and then the bye backing on the Dallas game

If the eagles can get to 8-1 against Denver, they’ll have the bye and get 2 weeks to prepare for the Elliott-less Cowboys
If we got to 9-1, 4-0 in the division... it’s over. At minimum the boys would then be 5-4 and 4.5 games behind us

I am looking forward to the Eagles game.

Interesting stat about the Eagles. Of their seven wins, six have come against teams with less than a .500 record. The combined record of all the teams they have beaten is an awful 15-30. The only team with a winning record they have beaten is Carolina, whose record reads 5-3. Take them out of the calculation, and the record reads 10-27.

Another interesting stat, the eagles are the best run defence unit in the league and have been beaten only once this year, by a 6-2 chiefs team in Arrowhead

It is easy to have the best (statistically speaking) run defense when you play poor teams as the Eagles have mostly played. An interesting stat is that teams have only run 147 times against the Eagles. Which is the least of any team, by a reasonable distance. These teams are forced to give up the run and revert to passing, in hope of scoring often and quickly.

Teams abandoning the run when you get a steady stream of Fletch, Timmy J, Graham, Curry, Long, Allen and Hicks, Kendricks and Barnett behind it isnt surprising.

We saw how ya boi Dak goes against a team who can stuff the run V Seman's (sic) Broncos. Dropped a god damn hammer. Now you got the eagles who are a better unit, against ya bois without Zeke.

Honestly... shut the gate ;)

Talking about confusing. It appears that Elliott is now playing this weekend against the Chiefs.

This seasons super bowl will not involve the Cowboys. Looking extremely unlikely they will even make the playoffs. A very very disappointing season. Will Garrett survive into next season? Depends on how the team finishes the season.

Just finished watching a replay of the Cowboys Redskins. While the score suggests a real blowout, the difference really just come in the line of scrimmage, where the Dallas offensive and defensive lines dominated. Injuries to Washingtons OL did not help them. But Lawrence and Irving were quite good. Tyron Smith was awesome. When fit, he maybe the best LT I have seen play. Felt sorry for Jay Gruden. Every time i saw him on the sideline I felt like crying.

I don’t know what Jerry sees in Garrett.

NFL Coach of the Year last season. So plenty think highly of him. Taking into account the Elliott situation, my gut feeling is he will be around next season. Though a lot will depend on how they close out the season.

As the season has ended for the Cowboys, so has some coaching positions with the team

Quarterback coach, Wade Wilson is moving on with his contract having expired. Tight ends coach, Steve Loney has announced his retirement. Running backs coach, Gary Brown's contract has expired. The Cowboys would like to retain him, but the Raiders are showing some interest in him. Wide receivers coach, Derek Dooley has taken up a college coaching position. Offensive line coach, Frank Pollack's contract has expired. I doubt he will remain with the team. Linebackers coach, Matt Eberflus contract has expired. Future unknown. Secondary coach, Joe Baker contract expired. Team will not re-sign. Special teams coach, Rich Bisaccia headed to Oakland.
