I completely missed it but how are the positional awards determined?? I ask this in respect of Woods winning (plod) prop of the year.
If you finish top 10 and no other player is above you, you win the position you play.
Aaron woods however DID NOT end up in the top 10, BUT he did win the most amount of points for a prop in the game. Winner by default.
How about you read out your list on why Gallen won Flanno
He won the most amount of points for the Lock and didnt get suspended you half baked merkin.

Dally Ms are flawed. Nobody takes them seriously except for plebs like you because every man and their dog knows Lolo > Gallen even counting suspension

In fact I had the one from Manly, De belin and McGuire ahead of Gallen aswell

Thanks. The voters mustn't have watched Paul Vaughan play.

Am I the only one who didn't have a problem with Gallen getting lock of the year? He had a brilliant year I thought, his best season in years. Taumalolo, Trbojevic, Brown and DeBelin also had great years and I wouldn't begrudge any of them getting it either.

Woods and Gillett on the other hand were both undeserved winners.

I dont take them seriously. Im just telling you and the other f**kheads of this forum what the rules are, Dickheads like you scream bloody murder cause X player wins it over Y without knowing what the f**king rules are.
The awards have always been about the best and fairest. There has been MANY years where a player has missed out due to infractions. Just because you and other dumbasses forget about the second part of how these awards are judged doesnt mean they are flawed, now f**k off back to lying about your team.

Vaughan should have also played origin over Woods. So im not surprised by this in the slightest.

I make no secret of the fact i hate the Dally M's. I was out on Wednesday and was positioned to see the screen, really didn't give it my attention at all. However, I had to laugh at the one thing I did pay attention to was beetroot face nearly falling over as he came on stage. Does that happen every year, or just the years I happen to see it???? That Pearce award was disgusting. Seriously, who makes that call? That a field goal is more important than some of the other stuff. Like the formal dinner for example. I might be the only Manly fan that thinks Walker wasn't the best centre. His defence wasn't up to scratch. He missed a lot of tackles. His attack probably was up there though. Completely disagree on Gallen. Not going over it again. I think while Smith probably had a good season, I still feel he scores point just because he is C. Smith. You look at that side and wonder how did he actually get the points so easily before it went behind closed doors with some of the other players around him. I saw most of the Storms games this season.. Cronk, both wingers, and even some of their forwards should have polled a lot higher.

My opinion on beginning to fix it would be to assign points to every player in each game like RLW use to do. But do it in triplicate, and ensure it is impartial. No votes from former club players. And impartial will immediately rules out the refs doing it. Best 20 rounds count, and finals play except the GF. The GF has its own award for best and fairest. If you are suspended, you score half points for that round and it must be counted. Obviously if the suspension is long enough you'll lose points and be out of the running. Its a hard sport to be fit or available every round.
