I had a look at their financial report from 2014 which is on the net if anyone is interested.

They give a lot of other money away in the local community ( sports clubs, schools). A couple of million.

I don't see them as having a seemingly bottom less pit of money to put into the football team like Parramatta and Bulldogs appear to have.
