be one of the worst pitches i have ever seen - by the third day the ball was running along the ground.

SA 5 wickets in hand and over 130 runs to get - buckleys chance if you ask me..

They won....4th test should be an interesting match now with Pollock on his way home to SA for the birth of his child!

yaes - Pollack certianly has ability with the ball still - reminds me a lot of Lillee at his best - slower but does plenty with the ball.

A great cricketer...

Who do you think will win the 4th test??

I think England will win. Pollock missing in the bowling attack should be worth at least an extra 100 to 200 runs to England's first innings score. It's a big call but even when Pollock isn't taking wickets he is almost impossible to score against. He's also a great lower order batsman, often good for fifty or more runs each test. If England can't take advantage of his absence to post a big total against the South African attack well then surely this series is a lost cause. Also England's bowling attack has now had ample time to gain its rhythm and with Kirtley and Anderson both looking impressive I see no reason why they can't get an edge over the South Africans.
