Supercars are more like Aussie nascars, even the engines they use are not available in the road going version, tubular chassis etc, nothing from the road car is on the race car, it's a trash category. The GTs on the other hand share much more with the car they are derived from and look at how many different marques are on the grid.

Give it a few years and Supercars will be just another GT series.

Possibly, supercars are losing manufacturers while GT3 seems to be growing.
