This is absolutely f**king ridiculous. If you go back and watch all of Mary's press conferences this year, he has always been of the mentality that you can't control refereeing decisions, you just need to accept it and move on. Not ONCE has he openly bagged the referees without being provoked.
In this press conference he was asked about his thoughts on the bunker for the Knights game and he delivered his thoughts, he never took it upon himself to attack them, he never went on with it, he was asked a question and he answered it honestly. And he is RIGHT. There were calls that directly impacted the result of the game.
If the NRL dishes out a fine or a sanction to him for saying two words, then there needs to be riots. The referees face NO accountability, they can make all the wrong decisions and if the Head Coach even dares attack them for it, it's the coaches who get the punishment and not the refs. It's a joke. It's almost like a North Korea system.. "If you say anything against us, you will be punished.. Even if we are the ones in the wrong."
So f**ked up.
