Kearney can go, but can he take most of the players with him?

Powderpuff forwards, backs who lack speed and skill.

Not going to win like that.

Who would have seen it going so disastrously post sacking Cleary. Has been an absolute mess from the minute he left, and the worst part is that he took his son with him, where would the warriors be now with Ivan head coach, Johnson 6 and Nathan 7.

looking back though, most people seemed to think it was a good time for the 2 parties to part ways, how wrong we all were

Was also considering what an Ivan-Nathan-Princess combination could have been.

Nothing will ever change the fact that Kearney is a mong, but regardless even that doesn't excuse what we saw last night. Manu doesn't deserve the last few seasons let alone that crap.

Kearney as an NRL coach makes Mitchell Pearce look like an all time origin great at half

It was what many of us believed before he was appointed and we were right

We need a Smith, Gould, Bellamy etc to disinfect the place and start over.

I probably come across as a bit of a Kearney apologist at times, and I'm not going to start backing away from it now. But the reality is, more so than blindly thinking Kearney is a great coach, I just believe that he's what we have got and we need to give it time to see if the necessary changes can happen. Very few Nrl clubs get the benefit of a silver bullet coach who can transform a club overnight. Barrett at Manly, McGregor at Dragons, Flanagon at the Sharks, Hell even everyone's prodigal son Cleary at Penrith and now Wests, are good examples of coaches who have sucked badly in their first year or two, but then started to get progress soon after. A lot of those guys are/were hampered by inheriting shit rosters/attitudes as well.

We're not going to get Bellamy. We missed the boat on Toovey and Cleary. We've got Kearney and he needs to be given a chance. Sacking him now would just be another backwards step.

He certainly did. At the Eels and here Kearney has developed quite a record

Don't compare that time with this. A prima donna or two (hayne & farrah) who thought their s### didn't stink, a catastrophe of a board (still) that didn't allow ANY autonomy to the coach in recruitment (something that he's getting at the Warriors & which will eventually show dividends) and still he managed to get guys into the eels that are showing the goods now (albeit in other clubs some of them - peats etc). Understand the pain guys but ffs taiho on the negativity - its tiresome

:) meant hindmarsh. Besides that, we get bashed enough by Oz, your negativity is still tiresome
Well you can always ignore us

He's a terrible coach in the NRL, that's pretty clear. I said that before he was appointed, we need a dramatic shift and he's not up to that

I don't have any insight into the Eels situation but perhaps they just understood he wasn't up to it. Hindmarsh like Mannering made a huge effort every week an if he was an issue perhaps he didn't enjoy being coached by someone who wasn't up to it??

JJ is negative for the most part but you cant blame him. Its almost insane to be positive when youre constantly dissapointed by the teams performances. In saying that, Im often tryin to be positive especially about hopefully making the 8 (dont laugh) but its like the TEAM are trying to cement it in my head that we cant do it.
