Avignon have:
* Aaron Wood (former Parra lower grader)
* Brett Kelly (former Raiders player)
* Darren Nicholls (who played under 20s for Wests Tigers and NSW Cup for Balmain Ryde)

And former Roosters lower grader Luke Towers has been playing for Limoux the past two years. Has just been signed by Salford for the rest of the year.

To be fair that's not much different to the number of imports in Super League, or the NRL if you count NZ and Islander players. Also, many of those players will have only played a handful of games throughout the course of the season.

I was being sarcastic....

I actually do not have issues with competitions looking to buy the best players for their teams to be successful. They have bills and contracts to pay etc...

To tell the truth, I think that there is a more rounded spread of countries in that competition than anywhere... nice to see that Soni Radovanovic has been picked up and a couple Yanks in there too. Looks quite good.

My issues come when its time for international selection.

To be fair Dru, the nationalities listed are just off of International representation. I'm not taking that honour or pride away from any of those lads, but the majority have come from an Australian / English / Kiwi upbringing and domestic career.

Still the more spread accross the world 'international' players are based the better for the depth of the game and the strength of TGG's identity
