The President of the French Federation of Rugby League, Carlos Zalduendo, moved with DTN, Patrick Pedrazzani, Andorra, on Monday August 26. They were accompanied by Magalie Paradelle Sanchez, special assistant to the Secretary General of the FFR XIII, and initiating a project to establish rugby league in Andorra. The proposed forms are varied, but are moving a little closer to the educated youth and education systems.

After a morning meeting with the responsible disclosure of material Andorran bank, delegation, supplemented by representatives of Bordeaux, went to the Ministry of National Education. There she met the leaders of the training of teachers and the coordinator of the three educational systems. For the sports side, it was the Secretary of State himself, Jordi Cerqueda Cierra, accompanied by the Director of Sports, Jordi Beal Vilaginés. User-friendly, direct and realistic contacts were established. Further meetings are planned.

The President of the Andorran Federation of Rugby, Xavier Vilasetru Tico, also participated in this meeting.

In the evening, all these people had the pleasure of being in a friendly reception, with the honor, Mr. and Mrs. Ricard guests. Mr Bernard Ricard is the son of Paul Ricard, and he played, he has given us, in Marseille XIII, led by Jean Dop. He wore throughout the evening the team jersey of France offered by Carlos Zalduendo (see photo). Ms. Ricard said, meanwhile, President Andorran Telethon.

DTN was to monitor the evolution and especially the feasibility of the project. Everyone agreed on the need to take the time to offer serious action.

Andorran television and two print media covered the event for the occasion

Cool, with the developments in Italy I'd love to see Andorra vs San Marino in RL. Nations like this actually have a chance of achieving a little success in RL if they get their act together.

Would love to also see some French help in Catalonia and the Basque Country once they've set up the new league.

Imagine if the NRL invested in that little country...

Ok imagine what?

Remember the NRL have a whole raft of little countries nearby they have successfully ignored for around a hundred years. Why would you think that they would invest in a little country in Europe?

The new league with links to soccer clubs is dead BTW.

Andorra can almost be considered part of Catalonia. It is the only nation on earth with Catalan as the official language.

Would be an interesting place for a preseason training trip, given the altitude.
