First I've heard of it, but wouldn't rule it out, Lyon has been subpar for years now.
Gutherson might take over eventually if he can find a spot in first grade.

I'd say if Lyon isn't kicking it will be DCE. Wolfman probably won't make the 13 for most of the year. Matai and Gutherson are competent kickers as well so there shouldn't be too many dramas.

Taufua out for the first ten rounds, Gutherson or Blair will get the spot, perhaps GKing will tip it Guthos way.

Taufua will be lucky to see first grade again until Lyon/Matai/Snake move on and Hiku/Gutherson move into their career positions.

Goal kicking is the one big ticket item missing from both Foran and DCE. Until either can kick at 80% or better, they shouldn't be asking for Thurston type money.

That and field goals. The semi last year is not the only time where we've struggled to get that 1 pointer in crucial times.

Yet in 2014 DCE kicked 4 field goals for the entire season, which was tied for first in the NRL with Jonathan Thurston and Trent Hodkinson.

AS to goal kicking, going by his profile on the rugby league project website, over the last 4 season, Jamie Lyon's goal kicking success rate has fallen to between 73.75% and 69.53% That is a very big fall from the 77.42% success rate of 2007 let alone the 81.1% of 2008.
