The Gold Coast, the grave yard for many sporting teams over the years, is this the NRL's way to finally kill off the Bears.

You can't be serious. The Suns are a financial black hole and only exist because of handouts by the AFL. The Titans while also existing on a bailout from the NRL appear to have their management sorted and with potential buyers circling look to be on the way back up. The Suns on the other hand are perennial strugglers and even with their fictitious attendance figures had approximately a 10% drop in crowd numbers to the year before.
