Taken this from www.rugbyforumxiii.com by philmax regarding the FFRXIII AGM, some positive signs about their website, also a profit of 100,000 Euros:

summary for the absent ones:

good news:
- the deficit of fédé is now reabsorbed
- the next surpluses will be distributed to the teams of young people.
- sponsoring in big rise will be reorientated towards the private one.
- one attached of press was recruited.
- the treasury good is consolidated by a pret over 4 years without interest of the FIRL of an amount of 73000 Euros whose first expiry at summer refunded by anticipation.

large subjects in progress:
- interactive and high level Internet site should be operationnel semi January 2007. A delay of with the requirements of quality required. The results would be in real time.
- magazine of the FFRXIII: difficult negotiations with a great group of press to have a free for the bachelors, quarterly magazine initially then monthly thereafter.

conclusion: a policy adapted to our means, pragmatic, together with a wise management of father of family. The strong progression of private sponsoring will be encouraged and developpée. The product "Rugby with XIII" A air to start again to like, carried by the saga of the Catalan Dragons and in waiting of significant results of the XIII of France.

That's a fair attempt, although you need at least another 6 paragraphs to make it really believable.

Yes the 1,000,000 Euros profit for the season 2005-06 is a beautiful profit, this including the annual 350,000 to 550,000 Euros of grants made by the French Republic like vichy compensation
since 1971 and with our income taxes, one of the grants is the salary + the social charges of the development officers (8 or 10 this year) which are paid by the French Republic (1 of its compensation for vichy)
the development officers are civil servant having a good or excellent RL backgrounds and first condition: having the French State degree in RL/Rugby à 13 (level Licence or just a little less than the level Master), they are chosen by the FFR.13, works for the FFR.13 and are controlled by the Ministry of Sports

Yes the 1,000,000 Euros profit for the season 2005-06 is a beautiful profit but the details of the accounts: entry and debit, profit and loss, benefit and charges, balance sheet are ?????????

There needs to be a clear bold new vision for the French game.

I think that the head of the French Rugby League and the heads of the Elite clubs should invite potential sponsors and leading businesses to a sort of a official function..

There they should put on drinks and lunch or dinner. After that they should show a professionally produced powerpoint type presentation of the game and it's potential...

This should include a montage of the games highlights in the NRL and ESL such as NRL Grand Finals, SOO and Trans Tasman Tests and ESL Grand Finals and Challenge Cups..

Explain the differences between yawnion and League. Provide a history of the game in France during the 30s and the glory days of the 50s. Sell the fact that with corporate support, the French game can again reach the hights of NRL and ESL showcases......

Worth a go, in my opinion. It may have already happened and it fell flat because of staunch yawnion support within business.

It's just that I think a country of 50-60 million can surely support 3 codes with ease....

I may be niaeve (?) but as a League supporter who loves the French game, I would dearly love to see France get to the stage that they could reguarly threaten Australia, NZ and GB/ENgland.
