I wonder if this forum has an opinion about sacking a coach four weeks out from the finals?!
Before a post is started yes I’d take him over McGregor.
I’d take a recently deceased person over McGregor, so that’s not saying much.
Gould strikes again, which explains why I wouldn’t want a “football director” at our club.
Either you trust the head coach to run the place or you don’t.
Where has this been officially announced?
NRL website - apologies, it's been reported not announced
Told he’s not needed next season, will proberbly walk this week.

The Panthers have sensationally sacked coach Anthony Griffin just four weeks out from the finals.
The Penrith board held a meeting on Monday afternoon after months of speculation about the coach's future, confirming Griffin's contract will be ripped up with more than two years to run.
Gone: Panthers coach Anthony Griffin leaves the club in fifth place.
Griffin's assistant Cameron Ciraldo is set to take over for the rest of the season.
The Panthers will confirm Griffin's axing later on Monday.
Penrith has chalked up miraculous comeback wins in the last two weeks, mowing down big deficits to both the Sea Eagles and Raiders to keep their top four hopes alive.
How’s the Gus “5 year plan” looking?

The Penrith Panthers are expected to part ways with coach Anthony Griffin just four weeks out from the finals.
The Panthers notified Griffin on Monday afternoon that his services would not be required beyond the end of this season despite being contracted until the end of 2020.
NRL.com understands there is a possibility Griffin could walk as early as this week, leaving assistant coach Cameron Ciraldo as the caretaker for the rest of the season.
It's understood Penrith have made the decision to part ways with Griffin because of a belief he is unable to take the club to a premiership.
The Panthers have won their past two matches, coming from behind to topple Manly and Canberra over the past fortnight.
However, it has done little to disguise the issues that have been brewing over the past couple of months at the club, with the board stepping in on Monday to bring it to a head.
Ciraldo is understood to be close to star Panthers halfback Nathan Cleary and could play a leading role in helping to keep him at the club beyond 2019.
The panthers forum cannot believe this also , a hell of a lot of racket going on over there .
Find this unbelievable that they would sack him so damn close to the semis and he is streets ahead of our boy wonder !
Funny how a coach who has got his team to finals in every year he has been there, has been sacked. Griffin has been under scrutiny since the end of last season, yet there is no pressure on Mary whatsoever. Go figure!
f*ck both he & the jowled idiot we've got.
get him back.
even next year when he'll be 98, he'll be a better coach than what we've got now.

I heard the Dragons board were going to do the same this week but McGregor took off without notice to Terrigal. Oh well they just have to postpone their board meeting to next week. Geez Penrith are a club with high and unrealistic expectations. I'd rather coach at the Dragons thank you
