Amazing just way to big and strong put 50 on the board nearly every week for 2 years straight.

The fullback has like some 26 tries I think :lol:

They have the best defensive record too.
IMO though, their success is a bit deceiving. Not many really good players in the team, they just bully the comp with their size. A few weeks ago they didn't have their first-choice halves and played terrible. But still won by plenty.

Likiliki is a living testament to the situation. He was unstoppable in the Toyota Cup 2 years ago, but can't even get a shot in the NRL.

The NYC has been a massive thing for NZ league. So many of the Warriors U20's have come from Union, guys who previously wouldn't have made the switch because the pathway wasn't there. That's the biggest thing that the NYC has given the Warriors, a genuine pathway for league players.

As for the Warriors dominating the comp, it's bound to happen. Can't remember where it was (maybe this forum somewhere) but there was a comparison between the Warriors players and the players from the opposition (Raiders were used I think). Turned out that there was nothing between the forward packs in terms of weight and height, but the backs were on average 9-10kgs lighter compared to the Warriors. That extra size across the park is what sets the Warriors NYC apart.

Their beatable. Definitely beatable. If a team can stay in the grind with them, apply pressure, they'll make mistakes. The standout for this Warriors team though seems to be the momentum they can gain in a match. They can quickly post points like no other. In a 10-15 minute period, whammo, game over.

after getting through the nyc, the backs are coming out fine for the warriors. the forwards are where we might lack.

It's easy when they have a whole country.

Such a tired, tired argument

The dominance of Union etc has already been mentioned.

Also, how many of the juniors for the other clubs are Kiwis? I'm from Christchurch and the other clubs are constantly over here recruiting. The Warriors do not have a monopoly on Kiwi talent.
