Who will make the step up to the mark (no pun intended) quicker? Who will go on to become a legend of the game?

Or do you think they'll only last a couple of years and end out back playing league or union?

My money's on the Kiwi doing better, but he'll just only ever be an average player.

Hunt barely got a kick in his first few games and didn't improve much by the end of the season. I remember reading some games he never even got a kick so he is having trouble reading the play.

Without having seen Falau, he would have to be an improvement on Hunt. Falau's biggest problem will be believing Sheedy's hype, his team will be sh*t on for years to come.

They appear to be 2 x different styles of player.
Folau could possibly impose himself on a game with his marking ability and speed, but understanding and reading the game are unknowns, abit like Nic Natanui.
Hunt appears he could be handy around the packs with his pressure / tackling and link ability.

Sheedy is just full of piss and wind atm, he's doing everything he can to build up the hype

he even suggested yesterday that Falaou could be captain come round 1 which considering he's never played the game before is just stoopid

Will he even make round 1?

Are they (GWSG) playing in the VFL next year? You'd think anything else would be a waste of time.

They're playing in the new NEAPL league, which includes teams from the QAFL (incl GC reserves, Lions reserves, NT) and teams from Canberra/Sydney (incl Swans reserves, Giants).

cant see folau making an impact, wouldnt the smart thing to do from the "giants" Point of view to be playing in a higher level like the VFL?

Folau is a better athlete than Hunt and I can see him making the transition better than Karmichael.

Hunt has now had the benefit of two pre-seasons and is starting to get his tank up to AFL standards. Hopefully he will be able to play out games this season without cramping up at half time.

Izzy is a superb athlete. He'll take all of this year to get used to the pace of the game - that ball will be whizzing past so quickly it will make his head spin - he might be ok by next season.

Hunt has made the team of the week after really only a handful of games.

He's been playing really well and thoroughly deserved.
