Utter capitulation by the Jets. Worth it to deny the Mariners another consolation prize.

Btw Timmah, you do realise if you had your way and it was a Top 4 and not Top 6, we wouldn't have seen half the crowds we've had for this round?

How did they look last night?

I have four assignments to do so this long weekend is sport and alcohol free :(

Will try and get to watching the game monday night or Tuesday.

Is it 4th v 5th next week?

Looking good man. Getting better every week. Franjic is going from strength to strength in midfield, he scored a cracker of a goal. North seems to have put a bit of mongrel into the D. Donachie was awesome as well. But its Broich thats getting me most excited, He's playing like the player we know he can be.

The really exciting thing is, we are the best team in the league. If we turn up on the day then we win and we seem to be turning up at the right part of the season.

You have a good record in Adelaide this season too so you should make Week 2.

And if you then get Central Choke who have never beaten you in a Finals match in 7 attempts...

Polenz & D'Apuzzo join Ono and La Rocca on the sidelines tonight I believe... possibly 1 or 2 more in doubt for WSW.

Will take a big effort for them to snare a point IMO. Jets, at home, with Heskey back should almost be favourites.

WSW still defying the odds. What an achievement.

That Visconte goal was something else. Was pretty tense before the game, but ended up being pretty comfortable. I know Bridge scored two, but dead-set he could have easily had four.

Great season so far. Almost too good to be true. Hopefully the club has built up enough goodwill so that even when an inevitable run of bad form comes, we can keep the same enthusiasm in the stands. Just makes games so fun to go to.

Also  at the fan who through his/her shoe on the field.

Clearly didn't think that one through. Would make for an awkward trip back.

We go on to play finals football and hopefully qualify for our fourth grand final (most for any club in HAL history, regardless of result) and fourth ACL (same again).

Newcastle miss the finals for the third consecutive season, fourth time overall. Went from being 4/5 seasons to now 4/8.
:lol::lol::lol:

CCM would be long dead if it wasn't for the FFA.
Yes, because they've helped our club out so much with so many handouts...

Roar don't hold any fear for us tbh, 2-1-0 against them this season.
Cracking crowd at the Mariners game...
8,271, far more than most expected for a dead rubber game with a mostly youth squad.

Mariners finished the season with 9,969 average - 400 up on last season, despite only hosting each NSW team once. Greater average than Adelaide, Wellington, Heart and possibly Perth Glory (depending on tonight's crowd at NIB).

You had for many years the CEO of the A-League own part of your club. That's as bad a conflict of interest as the FFA owning the Wanderers.

The latter three spent the bulk of the season outside the Top 6 and Adelaide's crowds dropped because of a disconnect between fans and the administration. What's CCM's excuse?
