Bit hard to know what to expect of Wynnum tomorrow.

On their best form, they can beat Easts but certainly not on last week's performance.

My guess - a last hurrah in front of the home crowd tomorrow and win or go close, then drop off against Sunshine Coast and Ipswich in the remaining games.

Do the channel 9 commentators even watch the game. Sattler keeps raving on about Matt Minto, who is doing absolutely nothing. Hasn't done a thing all season. Won't bend his back and get dirty or make a tackle. That good season for Mackay was about 3 years ago.

So it looks like Sunshine Coast, Easts, Souths Logan and Wynnum are fighting it out for the last two semi spots. Their games for the last two rounds are :

Next Week Round 24

Mackay v Souths Logan
Easts v Burleigh
Sunshine Coast v Wynnum Manly

Final Week Round 25

Wynnum Manly v Ipswich
Easts v Mackay
Burleigh v Souths Logan
PNG v Sunshine Coast

Easts looked a defeated side even with 30mins to play in the second half. Billy Walters back from a long term injury was a positive but it just looks like injuries and a form slump heading into the finals isn't what the tigers want right now

The Hunters will be doing it tough with injuries and suspensions at the wrong end of the season.
Thompson Teteh is a huge loss.

OLAM, WERA, ABAVU SUSPENDED, ZEMING, AMEAN RETURN

Three SP Hunters players – Justin Olam, Bland Abavu and Adex Wera – have been suspended following a video review by the QRL Judiciary after the game against Townsville Blackhawks on Saturday.
Olam and Abavu have been suspended for one week each. Olam was charged for a shoulder charge while Abavu was cited for a dangerous throw and dangerous contact. Wera has been rubbed out for two weeks after being cited for a dangerous throw. He will miss the next two remaining season proper games.
These suspensions and the season ending injury to centre Thompson Teteh has forced coach Michael Marum to rush in Noel Zeming and Stargroth Amean back from injury into the starting line-up for this Sunday’s round 24 ISC clash against Northern Pride at Barlow Park in Cairns.
Both Zeming and Amean have been out for the past six weeks, Zeming with a hand injury while Amean has just recovered from a knee injury.
Marum has also included Wartovo Puara Jnr, Adam Korave and Nixon Borana, back after eight weeks in an extended 19 man squad.
The 19 man squad is:
Stargroth AMEAN
Butler MORRIS
Noel ZEMING (Co-Capt)
Edward GOMA
Philemon KIMISIVE
Ase BOAS
Watson BOAS
Enoch MAKI
Warren GLARE
Esau SIUNE
Timothy LOMAI
Ishmael BALKAWA
Brandy PETER
Sailas GAHUNA
Adam KORAVE
Benjamin HETRA
Nickson BORANA
Wartovo PUARA Jnr
Atte Bina WABO
Coach Marum will finalise the travelling 18 man team on Thursday afternoon. The team travels to Cairns on Friday morning for the game against Northern Pride at Barlow Park on Sunday at 3:35

Easts never rose to any great heights yesterday. I am genuinely surprised and confused by their team selections.

Id say the season is over. They look OK in defense, nothing much in attack.

Highlight for me was the Easts U8's playing at halftime, though I am biased as a parent of one of them..

I cant see the Magpies beating Burleigh down there and Easts do play last placed Mackay at home so I think they'll scrap into the finals ( on for and against) on that fact.

Easts played a lot better yesterday than they did against Wynnum - pretty obvious from the scores I suppose.

Burleigh's line defence was just too good for them in the second half. I would rate Mackay a chance if it was up there but Easts should win at home.

Q Cup is top 6 - 3/6 and 4/5 eliminators, winners play each other week 2 for spot in prelim. 1v2 is played week 2 as well - winner to GF and loser to the prelim.

We'll have a roadmap for every grade on LU's main website over the weekend once positions are locked in.
