The deal Obama had in place with Iran would allow them to obtain nukes faster, would it not?

It seems to me a rather silly notion to blame Obama for failures of US foreign policy that have literally occurred over decades.

Almost as silly as blaming Trump for those same failures.

However, although unfortunately for Trump, these are the cards he has been dealt, it is literally his ball to run with.If he f**ks it up bigly, it's on him. He's the bloke in charge after all.

    Apparently there was no test....

Donald Trump tweeted about an Iranian missile test. Did it happen?

But on Sept. 25, two days after Trump sent his tweet, Fox News posted an articlesaying that Iran had "never fired" a new ballistic missile around the time of Trump’s tweet.

The Iranian footage, Fox reported, "was more than seven months old — dating back to a failed launch in late January, which resulted in the missile exploding shortly after liftoff, according to two U.S. officials."

Later that day, CNN quoted an administration source confirming the substance of Fox’s report, adding that American intelligence radars and sensors did not pick up on any evidence of such a test in that timeframe.

Nuclear-policy experts offered Trump some leeway on his claim about a new missile test given the misinformation from Iran.

"This is simply a mistake by the president," said Richard Nephew, an adjunct professor at the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. "Such things can happen, after all. There is a lot of misinformation out there about Iran and its activities."

Matthew Bunn, a nuclear policy specialist at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government, concurred, saying he was more concerned about Trump’s preference to condense thorny policy issues through Twitter, a medium not known for encouraging careful reflection or nuanced wording.

Even Israel has confirmed there was no test.

This is pretty funny, Trump makes an apparently false allegation about a country testing their nuclear capability, and your first thought is to have a go at a Spock's thoughts on the negative consequences of Trump being a windbag.

Never mind that Trump, the president of the United States, may have simply made shit up, or is simply poorly informed, and tweeted it to the world.

Let's not hey, given the report quotes Trumps tweet on the matter. It is also citing Trump no?

Do you think the POTUS should be getting his intelligence advice from Reuters and Iranian news, or do you think maybe he should have other sources mate?

I couldn't care less what Trump does either way. The guy is the most successful troll on the planet.

It was pretty humorous seeing Spock go off half-cocked though, then contradict himself 20 odd posts later.

    Fair 'nuff,

For mine I'd have thought that being "the most successful troll on the planet" and going off half cocked about whatever he's watched on fox and friends wasn't exactly the kind of behaviour you'd want from the so called leader of the free world.

    Hey, each to their own.

    1: eight months ago?
2: you forgot Fox and Friends. Lolz. But really, I'm sure it's perfectly acceptable as long as it's not fake news.

You'd reckon the bloke who coined "fake news" might fact check a little before taking to twitter though.
