In his last 2 games where he got moved to right center under Cleary he was actually really good. I was hoping we'd offer him a new contract but seems not.

You'd think he mustn't still be in the right headspace. Once he strung a few games together he looked good, just couldn't stay fit.

Amazing how a few injuries can have a former State and Test rep on the shit heap at 27...

last week a customer came into work whilst Ed Sherran's Galway Girl was playing on the radio. The customer thought it was Tracy Chapman singing. That made me think of Jamal Idris and wondered what was happening with Jamal. Now this thread resurfaces. coincidence?

Never had the right attitude to succeed in the NRL. He himself said as much.

Definitely a free spirit type of person. Injuries, media and form most messed with his head and he struggled to get into the groove required for consistency. A good year or two at the Dogs, so, so at the Titans and ok at the Pennies.
