The following is straight of JDB's player profile.

"De Belin has agreed to terms on a three-year contract extension that will see him remain at the Club until at least the end of 2017".

Obviously John Moz believes that is a recent contract meaning 2017 plus 2 more years but I believe that was his previous contact which runs out at the end of this year and is yet to be re-negotiated.
No fan fares or Friday pressers to announce anything about JDB and just 5 minutes ago people were saying he was to be swapped to Newcastle for Korbin Sims because JDB was pissed off with value of the Vaughan contract.
