Always strange when a club signs a young player immediately and only for 18 months - especially when we have similar young players in the same development stage!

Nonetheless heres highlight reel of the young nuggety winger...he seems strong not too quick which is a worry ..see what you think - is he something special?

He looks to have a similar game to Noffoluma, but from the latest video with the Dragons it says he's transitioned into centre this year which means he's going to take Milne's spot as back up centre next year.

Meaning we'll be running a Field/Garrick/Pereria/Herbert/Thompson backline next year for reserve grade.

He runs more like a backrow forward to me.

Totally uninspiring - totally devoid of logic from a recruitment point of view.
Why would you sign such a player?
Not a first grader from the looks of him and we have a bunch of talented youngsters waiting in the wings (excuse the pun).
He doesn't look particularly fast either.
We need to get over this mental block about our juniors, their age and their suitability for FG.
If they have the talent, throw them in the deep end.
Nearly every other club does it and playing 18 and 19 year olds doesn't seem to be an issue for others.
Let 'em loose and stop compromising with fringe players.

Millward prioritised the signing of juniors over our the extension of senior first graders. So, we lose Dugan and Packer. Then Millward buys a fringe reserve grade outside back to block the advancement of our junior outside backs.

What a bloody mess!

Love the way people are describing this bum as "young" he is 24 FFS.
By the time Cottrick, Crichton, Cleary, Hess, Mitchell and a heap of others turn 24 they will have been playing 1st grade for 6 years.
There in a nutshell is the difference between us and the professional clubs.
This is just another dud signing by us with no upside and still our juniors languish whilst other clubs reap their rewards from doing what we refuse to do.
I think it typifies our club when people are trying to find something positive about this signing which IMHO is just laughable.

Is every post you make a paraphrase of the last post you made?

In case anyone decided to actually use their brains, this is obviously not a signing for first grade.
We've lost KFFL next year and Dodd for this year, Pereira is just coming in for the Illawarra side to solidify our depth.
It's not a Dugan replacement, it's not an "uninspiring signing", it's just for depth. In case anyone had bothered to do any research, all clubs need to have a squad of 30 players next year, so we're obviously building towards that.
Besides, the Pereira announcement was hidden in the Nightingale extension article, so I would say that the club isn't exactly doing somersaults about picking this guy up or claiming he's a world beater.

Some of you need to stop looking for the worst in everything and making assumptions when clearly you have no idea.
