Laptop battery issue HELPPPP

hey all, hoping this is the right place to post this..
so i have a Dell Inspiron 15R laptop, i had an issue with the computer dying every 2 hours (low battery mode, brightness would dim, get the 7% battery warning, and then it would die), then i could press power again, and it would start charging, then go down again and same drama all day long every 2 hours.

i purchased a new batter off eBay, seemed to last a while and go good, and then suddenly 'low battery', same bullshit again. so im assuming my battery's are good, there's another issue here? is my adapter shit? but seems weird as it actually does charge. but wont hold the charge?
somthing in the computer? ahhh
please help

yeah seem wierd that pressing a button when there's no battery can do anything , however i did try thanks man, see what happens
