With all the players heading off to Europe and other clubs every year and now during the year I'd like to get everyone's thoughts on the salary cap , and if they are negative what could we replace it with ?
My first thought's System 1. Is 10% discount for a local junior and a further 5% for every year a player stays at a club . After 10 years at a club he's salary cap free . I think this system actually encourage's clubs to develope players and encourages players to stay at their clubs .
Or System 2 . A 3 million dollar cap for retaining players already in the club and 1 million cap for signing new players . maybe even combine the two ?
