Let's start with the backs: (boy we could do with Robinson)

GI
Gagai
AJ
Jennings
Graham
Burns
Arthars
Fuimaono

We need another signing imo........

Props:

Sam
George
Tom
Musgrove
Clark (I have Clark ahead of Turner at this point)
Turner
Johnstone

Right let's elaborate:

Whoever wants to do the backrowers etc.... take it away..........

We certainly need another outside back and another prop.
Especially if we get injuries in the back row then it's obvious Sam would go back to lock.....

Let's now look at our back row depth:

Crichton
Murray
Fuimaono
Sutton
Sam
Britt
Talakai
Turner

We have plenty in the back row for sure which is good.

If we're not going to recruit another prop, I reckon Turner must convert to the front row full time. Spend the whole pre season there and just focus on that position and that position only. He's capable of good performances in the front row as seen in Round 26 and maybe he'll be decent if he fully converts to prop.

Now from this angle:

1. GI
2. AJ
3. Gagai
4. Jennings
5. Burns
6. Cody
7. AR
8. Sam
9. Cook
10. Tom
11. Fui
12. Crichton
13. Murray

14. Sutton
15. Clark
16. George
17. Musgrove

18. Turner
19. Farah
20. Graham
21. Britt

Talakai
Arthars
Johnstone
Douehi

The depth is not there.

Then we come to guys we don't know much about:

Kennar
Roswell
Ta'avale
Hiroti
Mailata
Tracey

Anyone know what position Tyrone Taukamo plays???

Boy we let a lot go:
Cherrington
Goodwin
Gray
Hunt
Gosiewski
Greinke
Hamlin
Kelly
Rochow
Nielsen
Rudolf
Tyrrell

I only would've kept Goodwin, Gosiewski and possibly Hamlin out of that lot.....

We let most of the right choices in who we let go,

All we have though is:

Gagai
Arthars
Britt
Kennar

Turner needs to lift big time.

I keep waiting and waiting for it!!!

He only has 1 good game every 5 matches.....

5 or 6 hit ups for 50m doesn't cut it.....

I want to see 9 hit ups for 80-85m regularly and not just every so often!!!!!

I think Taukamo is a second rower.

Thanks so the analysis, it was good.

I agree the depth is not there as it stands but let's hope that changes before February.

I agree with that.

He is capable of good performances, just needs to be way more consistent.

There are still 4 spots left in the squad to fill as it stands. The way the cap rules are for next year 31 to 36 can't play firstgrade unless special permission is granted. It will be interesting to see where he puts the young frontrowers. I have a feeling that Johnston will slip into the top 30. We are short on depth in the outside backs mainly a genuine specialist winger. The top backline is very versatile , but we need some depth and possibly a Brett Morris.

I think our forward depth is fairly sound. One more frontrower would be good but I think he may use one or even two of the youngsters.

The halves depth has a question mark over it . Hopefully Tracey and Doueihi step up.

Hopefully a couple of young backs like Hiroti and Taukamo step up as well.

Is that official regarding Hunt? I've heard he has been given permission to look around but as it stands he is still under contract for next season.
I don't see there being too much on the market that is better than Hunt to be honest. He would be good for depth. A swap for Brett Morris would be great, but it doesn't look like it's happening.

If you Google South Sydney Rabbitohs and read the Cronk article last night it says Hunt has been released!!!

We haven't got an email but that doesn't shock me as the club is poor in this department....

Like Kennar has signed and I got no email......

Everyone that's been resigned recently. That is rodwell, Johnstone, doueihi, Hawkins, lucky, mailata will all be promoted to the 30 man squad. At least that's what they said when they were resigned I think there's still some player movements happening behind the scenes.

That sounds pretty accurate to me. Although I can't see Tracey missing out. We've stuck with him for so long we may as well see it through and give him a shot. I'd say taukamo is probably gonna be in there. Kennar is an interesting one too.. man it's tough to say!

Half of that squad or even a bit more than half of it really worries me Souths til Die.

Unless we get a good signing or 2 we are in trouble and that isn't a top 8 roster....

To the ones in fantasy land shall we compare this squad with all the others in the NRL?????????????? I shudder to think.........

We sit close to the bottom 4 with what we have......

With Seibold he could make a positive impact which pushes us up to 10th.

I just can't see finals to be brutally honest........

When we were successful in 2012, 13 and 14 we had good youngsters coming through but we had the back up quality depth you need at Norths..... currently I just don't see us having that depth or quality to be a top 8 squad......

An injury or 2 to good players and we are f**ked........

We have so so so many youngsters like Newcastle and that takes time!!!!!

Problem is if they get any better in time which some will and some won't they may chase money elsewhere and then you are back to square one....

You need the right balance and I just don't think we have that balance.........
