    Is that anything like the two factions in the Coalition;

Those who pretend to be in favour of marriage equality and those who think masturbation should be a crime against humanity?

I can't see too many parliamentarians from yesteryear being cool with gay, non white or female MP's but here we are

    Times change

    Are Rudd/Gillard/Rudd/uncle tone/mal a reflection of the times ?

Would Menzies or Hawk be elected today with the added influence of social media ?

There were many rumours about Bob and his behaviour

I have no idea of there veracity

One snap from a camera phone or some video and it'd be all over if true

Bob owned it though, if there was any politician who could come off as just a likeable larrikin after being caught say on a drunken binge rooting a coupla people he shouldn't be rooting, it'd be Bob.

    'But the Libs...'

I'm not aware of any coalition MPs who think masturbation should be a crime against humanity

    Got names?

I don't deny that. At least we knew he was nuts and he was going to stand by it.

Ah Beazley. If he had have come on a decade later he would have been a two term PM at the very least with the offering out there at the moment.

Yes - economically conservative. They have their slice of resources and they want to keep it
Socially conservative - they have their lifestyle and expect to keep it

He very likely would have ended up as PM though if he weren't unfortunate enough to have run against Howard.

He'd likely romp it home against Abbott or Turnbull.

    Yes, he said it

And if you're dishonest enough, you can almost misrepresent it enough to suggest he supports a carbon tax
