Where's the members discounts for the RLWC?
Where's even an email to the 200,000 odd members mentioning that the World Cup exists?

Anyone who buys a SOO 2018 ticket in August is a merkin anyway.

Good point, hopefully they aren't just outsourcing any care to this RLWC17 organisation. All clubs and the leagues need to flex their muscle and promote this tournament.

Channel 7 news had a story tonight on 100 days till 2017 RLWC. Also Ch7's watermark logo at the bottom right of the screen also contains the text 'Rugby League World Cup 2017 100 days to go.'

Been like that all prime time. Wonder if they are going to have a countdown and tomorrow will say 99 days?? Is it just Sydney and presumably Brisbane displaying this?

Yep, when I saw this I switched over late last night and saw it there: "Rugby League World Cup 2017 100 days to go" in a huge watermark logo at the bottom right of the screen.

This is brilliant, the sort of stuff Nein would NEVER do, especially when it comes to international RL – despite the huge ratings international RL scores on the (increasingly rare) times it is shown in prime time.

If the people at Nein (yes, you David Gyngell) hadn't been so unbelievingly short-sighted with typical NRL-induced myopia, they could have bid for the event and thus been promoting the 2017 Rugby League World Cup all season – thereby insuring top ratings for the event and cementing international RL as a must-have.

I hope so much Channel 7 scores excellent ratings - or at the very least makes a good profit - out of their coverage of the 2017 Rugby League World Cup.

The stupidest part is Ch9 keep Kangaroos games to themselves (outside of the WC). Promotion of the international game as a whole would increase interest and ratings in the Roos.

There is an electronic billboard on the Brooks Rd overpass at Ingleburn heading south that has been advertising the World Cup for awhile now.

They are playing the RLWC ad on a loop in the information centre where the old Regent Theatre used to be in Queen St Mall, Brisbane too.
