So over half the people who have voted have essentially said that even if he led us to a premiership this year, they wouldn't want him back next year. Talk about impossible to please.
In the highly unlikely event that he did lead us to a premiership, it should already be to late. A decision should be made early on who is to coach in 2018 which on previous results should have already ruled him out.

I believe the quicker they announce a new coach the better our team will be positioned in the future, if McWreckor did a McFixit and lead the saints deep into the finals, it would only allow him to position himself as a good assistant to a very very good coach like Des Hasler.

Win a premiership...about as likely as pigs flying...

The question is a hypothetical one about what result would make you feel okay with him coaching us in 2018. The likelihood of achieving those results wasn't the question.

I remember a similar vein of thought when the review came through last year.
"Dragons board won't possibly keep him on"
"Cleary will be signed"
Never underestimate the f**k wits we have running this joint

Just remember that us fans & the fields being over 98m in length are the real reason for poor performance in 2016. Do not forget we made the semis in 2015 after 4 years missing out and we had a very successful Boot camp this preseason. Staff changes were implemented from a who's who (who is cheap & can work under Mary's rule)
It's not Mary's Salvation.....it should be our Salvation from Mary!!
Also don't forget we had a lot of tries scored against us from kicks last year

Mary has to go and the announcement of our new coach needs to be made ASAP.
This is an absolute must, this will help everyone involved, the team, the fans, McGregor even the FN board. The team might even have a decent year playing for a spot in the 8.

Mary has to go and the announcement of our new coach needs to be made ASAP......OR ELSE THERE WILL BE NO GOOD COAHCES LEFT....with Hasler being pursued strongly by Manly & Cleary likely to go to Bulldogs if Hasler leaves...that leaves the cupboard pretty bare of experienced first grade coaches. A proactive Board should already be in talks with the abovementioned coaches and not sit on their hands until they see how Muppet goes in the first 6 rounds...

If Dragons have not already had deep talks with potential new coach/s then waiting to mid or end of season is too late. The landscape may change very quickly and we get left with Mary for another year or another internal rookie like Hornby or Young getting the gig by default. This is a real concern.

Maybe this is why JD went to the Broncos. The fix is in and there is only room for the untouchable old boys.

Can anyone say what have these two assistant coaches done - in their coaching profession - to qualify them for consideration as head coach?

I would hope that if he stayed the rest of the year (likely if the incoming coach is currently coaching), someone would get him to give some of our young guns an opportunity.

Get the tap on the shoulder that this is the final year and told by insiders to make changes to ensure that 2018 is truly a fresh year, none of this rebuilding BS. This will ensure that he leaves with some dignity (undeserved) and saves us from hiring an interim and all the unnecessary media baggage that comes with it.

Obviously not much qualifications needed..look at Mary and Price......time for old boys clean out...they can always go to the fox commentary team cant they

One game doesn't change a thing in my opnion and if a decision has been made to bring in a new coach that won't change. His record since taking over is terrible and that should be factored into the decision.
On today's performance the question needs to be asked why this wasn't tried last season.
