Not only was that not short enough to pull, it hit his stumps while he was still playing his shot, its not as though Bananaman has that much pace.

Calling Wade a nugget is starting to look like doing nuggets a disservice.
At least nuggets aren't completely useless.

They just surely can't pick Wade he is in dire form and was terrible with the gloves in Bangladesh. Sure Nevill struggled with the bat in test cricket but he is going better than Wade and definitely won't concede 30 byes an innings.
Part of me wants to see the battler get picked for the first Test and see him drop 3+ catches, concede 20 byes and get a king pair... I think I would like that even if we lost the match... Just to hear Warne's deafening silence when critiquing his little mate...

Except he'd still bang on about how improved his glove work is and how important it is to have an aggressive #7.

Now that it seems almost a fait accompli that Wade will be overlooked for the first Test (thank f**k!), I'm curious to see what happens to his place in the Tassie side. It has already been rumoured that Paine will be given the keeping job if Wade is not picked for Australia... So if he's in the Tassie side for his batting, then surely on current form he will be on shaky ground....

Would be some fall from grace for the Aussie keeper to change states expecting to walk straight in to the Tassie team to find himself just a few months later dropped from both national and State teams... LOL

Carey is 35* - a big score here and he might get the gig.

Nevill is the obvious choice, but if they pick Bancroft at 7 to keep so be it.

I would be on board with Nevill keeping in the tests, and Bancroft being the ODI and T20 keeper.

Bancroft got three 50s, two 30 odds and a DNB in the ODD competition.

You would feel for the club wickie that had to step down to accommodate him ...

He hasn't kept whilst playing grade this year - his club has used him as a specialist batsman.

Ladies and gentlemen, the incumbent test keeper.

"Matt Wade has been left out of the squad following some inconsistent performances with the gloves and lack of form with the bat," Hohns said.

Yeah, no shit...

Hopefully that's the end of the worst Australian test keeper in history

We've been here before.

If Paine isn't immaculate in Brisbane and Adelaide, I'll put money on them going back to dickfingers.
