The black armbands last night in Tribute to Max Ninness were a nice touch.
A genuinely nice guy who knew an awful lot about rugby league.
On a personal note Maxy used to be my high school woodwork teacher in the early 80s, one of my favourite teachers.
At the time we didn't know of his years long involvement in the game, later we realised it did explain why he always laughed when we attempted to "play" the game in the Commenwealth Bank Cup.
