Deserve? Or what will happen? 2 very different things.

He will see out the end of the year regardless of results, and I wouldnt be surprised if he gets extended if he wins 3 games in a row at any point in the season.

In terms of when he deserves to go - well, he didnt deserve the job in the first place.

Agree with coastiedragon.... thats what id like to see happen.
But reality is he will probably see out the season.
By round 13 or so the club will "promote" someone from within to be assistant and help with certain aspects.
But i think he will see the season out regardless of results.
He most certainly will NOT be our coach in 2018 however...

He doesn't deserve any more time but he has a contract that saved him and is probably going to see it out.

The fact they even thought to appoint McGregor as a fulltime coach over all other candidates just shows where the club is at.
"Jobs for the boys",there is no other explanation as he has no credentials at all?
F@#k him off already!

I doubt the club will sack him during the season.

Surely his only hope for survival beyond that is to drop his conservative aoproach completely, grow some balls, back the available rising talent and persist with them.

Then he must develop suitable structures and gameplans to capitalise on their strengths and allow them to flourish.

If he chances his arm (so to speak) and can develop the perfect synergy by utilising the most promising talent available in the squad, he will give himself and the club the best opportunity to turn their fortunes around.

In short, more of the same and out the door for Mary.

Mc Gregor will survive the entire year.
Any improvement on the ladder can only be good for Mc Gregor.
If there are any 3 game winning streaks negotiations for an extension will be on the table.
If the side improves we will ultimately be lumbered with a coach incapable of winning a premiership.

Scenario A/. They will not sack him...they will thank him for his services to the club and insinuate that he is moving onto greener pastures and Coach X is taking over.

Scenario B/. Coach X deal falls through and they issue a statement saying that after looking at all the best candidates available that they have decided to extend Mary's contract by another 2 years.
