I don't think we make many changes, unless its for injuries

Rhino might be back, for Starc. If not then they may bring back Siddle on his home deck?

If MMarshs hammy isn't 100%, they may go for Faulkner. I don think they look at Sunshine to 6, though that seems the logical choice.

Whatever the side, we should go 3-0. India are woefull

I can assure you I put that team down tongue firmly in cheek.
But you really underate Carters and Nevill.

Something has to be done before the Ashes though, we can't take the current side.
Watson and Haddin especially.

I don't under rate them, they most likely will play for Australia. But picking them for MCG test is laughable

Getting rid of Haddin when Smith has just got the captaincy leaves a big hole in the leadership group. His keeping is solid, just needs a score

We play Bangers and WI in tests next year, plenty of time to groom a keeper

Clarke is still setting the game plans so that point is useless

They won't drop Haddin. He should be dropped because he has been abysmal this year and at 37 he is unlikely to improve. But with a new skipper out there I can't see it happening.

Pretty sure we have a tour to the West Indies next year after the world cup so I assume a new Keeper might get the gig then.

Shaun Marsh should be dropped for being an over rated spastic but I assume he will get a run in Melbourne.

I'd say bring in a specialist batsman for Mitch Marsh and make Watson to bat down at 6 where he belongs but that's not going to happen either.

If Haddin was batting well, I think you would go Faulkner for Marsh. With Haddin looking ordinary, and Watson doing the job with the ball in Brisbane, they might have to go a specialist bat. I'm going Voges.

Voges would be an excellent choice

Not sure why either Marsh brother is ahead of him to be honest

lol

game plans are different to captaining on the go in the field.

Lehmann can set the game plans ffs

and you want to talk about useless, LOL
Useless is 92 runs in 13 test innings from a senior player and apparent lock.

And I have sort of agreed with Haddin in for support leadership wise, and I imagine he is a strong presence in the dressing room, but how much of a leadership role is displayed when holing out for 1 when youu just need to play the game out to wrap up a victory.

I expect Harris in for Starc, and a batsmen, given Watson showed himself capable of bowling, for M Marsh (due to injury). Two changes is probably enough. Injuries could save S Marsh, Watto and Haddin

It should be Nevill straight in for Haddin also. As @Dutchy said, Nevill into test team, Carters gets the gloves for NSW and we see whether he is up to it with them (because his batting has been pretty impressive the last 18 months), and him and Whiteman look like decent chances of an Aus future.

This Aus side has an enormous amount of question marks long term. Harris and Johnson due to age won't be there much longer than two to three years (Harris about 9 months), ditto Rogers, Watson, SMarsh, Haddin kind of shit, Clarkes back obviously crocked, Hazlewood only one test in and other likely starters can't stay fit. Warner and Smith are the only players you would say are definite locks for the near future. Maybe after the world cup selectors will start to cast aside a few of the less well performed players (twatto).

Not a fan of changing 3 spots in the order by bringing in an opener for a 6. Marsh is the 6 and will be straight back in there, probably for Sydney. Then you have to reshuffle back. A straight replacement has to be the better option imo.

we desperately need a no 3

the make up of our team is wrong, if we are gonna keep Watson and I think we will as we use him as a bowling opption, so he has to go down to 6 and we get a specialist batsman at 3 for mine

A no 3 isn't a stop gap, its a specialist job and now is the time to look imo

I don't think they want Watson to bowl anything other than an over or two. Thrown in the towel on that one. It's just a short term necessity with Marsh getting injured. When he is back, Marsh takes the 10 over role at 6 and Watson lives or dies on what he does at 3.

I would drop him when MMarsh comes back and work on having a specialist no 3

we really dont need him when MMarsh is fit
