Totally agree about the non ticketed interstate memberships. I've no idea why the club has their reasons for not doing it but i cant think why. It's extra revenue for them and also a chance for those interstate who can't make it to games to be part of it. Maybe under the new owners they might change it, hopefully anyway.

There is no disadvantage to having the option and they are just throwing away money by not doing it. The storm may not be the most popular club outside of Melbourne but they seem to have a decent following in the northern states. It's also a way to allow people who may not be able to make games to support the club (not everyone is willing to pay for a season ticket just to support the club).

Still it only makes the numbers more impressive, here's to future growth with the club!

If it stays as it is now we'll play the Roosters in week 1 up there. Win that and we host the prelim final at home, lose and we play week 2 at home against a lower ranked side. So we're definitely guaranteed a home final it's just a case of whether it's week 2 or 3. Any final will be at AAMI Park.

Nothing better than a boys weekend interstate than the races and footy. If it's week two (21st) we play the races are at Caulfield which is a decent day race wise with the Guineas prelude, the Underwood and Naturalism Stakes and a Sprint heat which is Group 3.

If we get a home Prelim it'll be a Friday night meeting at the Valley because there's no city meetings on the Saturday due to it being the AFL GF on. It'll be interesting to see that if we do get the home prelim whether they'll play it on the Friday with no AFL or make it after the GF on Saturday night.

Thanks for going to that trouble. We would normally be down next weekend for Storm v Eels...but one of the mates is in England catching up with his son and twins...He's the main man (organiser ) as he has a huge house in East Melbourne that we stay at.....PLUS he knows his way around the traps...a big help for us Country people......Fun weekend, love it..

No trouble especially when it comes to racing, big fan. Like i mentioned there's nothing better than an interstate weekend away with the boys, even in Melbourne where some up there have trouble saying let alone actually coming to lol If we're lucky enough to make the GF this year we'll probably go to the races up there on the Saturday given the AFL GF falls on the week before this year. We go to a couple of games in Sydney and have done for years for a weekend away and always have a great time.
