I wouldn't pay $5 bucks for all of them
That's a portrait, not finger painting a kangaroo
Picasso is shit too
What's Kathy Griffin up to these days?
Sold more means jack shit. Popular doesn't = better.
By that logic, Bieber, Katy Perry are Miley Cirus are the best.
This is relevant
To a lot of people yeah they are ?
I'm a fan of whatever art tickles my fancy. Particularly fond of Monet and D'Arcy W Doyle.
My mother had a reprint of Doyles painting of the kids playing street cricket under a Jacaranda. I always loved that work.
Some Aboriginal art is phenomenal, a lot of their art is soecial because of the stories they attach.
Katy Perry is the best. (I may not be referring to her music.)
A man of taste. I like paintings that capture a moment in time. Grimshaw is my favorite.
Picasso is an absurdly talented artist. Possibly one of the most talented visual artists of all time just for ability to transcend styles.
Just lol at smack.
There's no greater honour than a visit to Lilyfield to give a speech
how can anyone say that aboriginal art (or any art for that matter) isn't valid, or doesn't count? art is just creative expression, basically. if you don't like it personally, fair enough, but i think you need to have more of a criticism than 'it's just finger painting isn't it.' what's next, 'i like all music except rap and country'.
and the beatles are an excellent band. they sold lots of records for a reason.
please don't hit me
Mate we have people who said the bloke who painted this in his early 20s is shit
This forum is hard to please.
kind of what i mean. you can't just say 'oh that's shit', without qualifying it. fair enough you don't have to like certain art, even acclaimed art, but to just say 'it's shit' is kind of, i dunno, weak?
i think that someone who writes off an entire culture's artistic expression because 'finger painting isn't art', doesn't understand what art is, and crucially, why it's important. i mean how narrow minded can you be?
Well thats how the dot painting started. They were maps and depictions of sacred sites. The dot style was adopted to obscure the meaning from whitey.
