Chase is on

Ian Millward's departure from Castleford has coincided with renewed speculation England halfback Rangi Chase may return to St George Illawarra. Negotiations between Chase and the Dragons collapsed during the off-season but Sin Bin understands the 2011 Super League player of the year is again on a list of potential targets. Castleford, who have gone through three chief executives in the past 12 months, play at a dilapidated stadium and have the lowest salary cap spend in Super League. As a result, it is believed the Tigers are willing to release Chase but would want a transfer fee and compensation that may deter St George Illawarra.
Not Sam Moa'n

Despite his name, Roosters prop Sam Moa is expected to partner Kite in the Tongan front row against Samoa next Saturday night. Samoa, coached by St George Illawarra's Steve Price, will field a strong line-up expected to include Steve Matai, Roy Asotasi, Jeff Lima, Reni Maitua, Junior Sa'u, David Fa'alogo, Chase Stanley, Daniel Vidot, Ben Roberts, Tim Lafai and Masada Iosefa.

I watched the game against Huddersfield. Fair dinkum, Castlefords ground should be condemned.

Embarrassing look for the game. Looks like nothing has been done to it for 50 years.

He's the full package. His defence is still the weakest pasrt of his game but he sure as hell takes the line on.

A mate in the UK watched Rangi play last week & said he was absolutely brilliant.Continuously asked questions of the opposition defence & throws unbelievable passes.Takes on the line fearlessly & would carve up in the NRL.Lets get him back where he belongs.

The game was on Eurosport ( part of Foxtel ) & he was sin binned in the first half for dissent. Huddersfield virtually won the game during this period & scored 4 or 5 tries in about 15 minutes. Chase was involved in 2 tries, but that was when Castleford were down about 40-12. For one of them he regathered his own kick & passed in the one motion to a team mate. It was brilliant play, but it was in the final few minutes after Huddersfield had the win wrapped up.

very strong rumours in castleford that Rangi Chase plays his last game
to-day st george seem to be favourites negotiations seem to be ongoing over a transfer fee.
if you get him you have got a player that is not far behind Benji Marshall and will more than likely surpass him.

Would love to sign Rangi and if we get him for this year, that's gold. Add Dugan (maybe) things look far, far better. C'mon Doust. Pull a rabbit out of your hat. Or your finger out of your arse. A Crownie out of the fridge. Just pull something out of somewhere!!

Orr would not comment on rumours that England stand-off Rangi Chase had made his final appearance for the Tigers against Widnes.Chase, who got a great reception from the Tigers fans at the end of the game, has again been linked with a move to Australian club St George Illawara."I've absolutely no idea if that was Rangi's goodbye. There are rumours going about but that's part of the club that doesn't really involve me. If Rangi is playing and is in the team that's my department and if he's not Steve Gill (Castleford chief executive) will deal with it," said Orr.
