Apparently Newcastle, Bulldogs and Melbourne are trying to get Maloney for next year even though he is signed by us currently on a modest contract for next year.

Teams can't believe we've got him so cheap considering today's over inflated market. They are offering him a substantial increase to break his contract for next year.

He's playing like he is only worth $600 k at the moment...

But yes, he is worth way more than Bird, Hunt or Reynolds supposedly on much more than him, and even worth more than Teddy, though Teddy is going to the Roosters for the "development" or some such....

I think we should throw Maloney another year with a good payout, though we have to be careful not to be stuffed up with too many/ too big back ended contracts.
