I'd say you're right....they are really gunna concentrate on the defence to see if they can extend the tryless run.

6 and 3 going into the rep weekend. Strong start results wise. Winning ugly for the most part with a couple of ugly losses.

They have really only clicked in the second half of the Canberra game but the experience and toughness has got them through especially in the Storm game.

Positives
Winning without playing that well shows lots of upside
Defensively very strong
Away record
Forwards getting on top in most games
Spine issues settling with Brailey shown to be a quality player. Seggy added plenty as well. Holmes developing into the fullback but nowhere near the finished article.

Negatives
Home record
Errors and penalties

Overall, in a good place with plenty of upside. A top 4 finish and they will give a good shake again.

It looks O.K. on paper and the ladder Weapon. But geeze they are bloody painful to watch as a supporter.

It is like some self inflicted punishment to sit and watch the Sharks go around at the moment.

You know what is going to painfully happen before it happens and when it does you just sit there and facepalm.

The cows have actually lost their spine. Half, Hooker, Fullback. They are rattled and racked with injuries.

Touch wood for our you know whose. (I hate yacking about team injuries)

Putrid, filthy, stinking Goons at Kogarah then 5 games straight at home. Ironic that after being faarrkked on the road forever that we're now undefeated away and can't get out of second gear at home. Need a minimum of 4 out of the next 6 to consolidate our top 4 spot.

Cows will still be missing Matt Scott. If his forwards aren't getting on top Thursty will still struggle.

Cows are missing Glanville almost as much as JT imo. Forwards are getting belted and Morgan looks faarrkked without all the big names around him.

I think we are in good position, we are playing poorly but winning.

Flanno will have them primed when it counts, key get through the rep season part in top 4, then start to ramp up in last 3rd of season for the finals.

In finals the penalties are not as many so that will help, we can beat any team for us that is not issue, and a big key the Storm fear us, we have there number now, and that will play against them come finals

There is a realistic chance we can end the round in 2nd now... We need the Storm to win by 23+ and they're already up 22. Considering how rubbish we are playing it'd be quite the achievement...

I look at it more then 6 games but stage 2 of the season the rep run

Round 10 a week after multi rep games vs Dragons (a)
Round 11 vs Cowboys (h)
Round 12 before SOO vs Bulldogs (h)
Round 13 days after SOO BYE
Round 14 vs Storm (h)
Round 15 before SOO vs Tigers (h)
Round 16 days after SOO vs Eagles (h)
Round 17 vs Roosters (a)
Round 18 before SOO BYE
Round 19 days after SOO vs Titans (a)

So its a 10 round impact, key points

* We play 2 games before SOO, of course some others only get 1
* After Dragons game we get 6 weeks at home including byes
* Our SOO players will/could be Holmes, Bird, Maloney, Graham, Fifita
* Injured players due back Lewis round 10, Segeyaro week 12, Bakuya unknown, those players are needed when we will be down on troops
