And so is Jamie Lyon or Cameron Smith. Facts are that if it was revealed that the booing caused hurt because of racial undertones, reasonable people would cease the banter because they deep down dont want to offend. Sadly AFL fans continued fully aware that they were vilifying Goodes.

That's fine, and I agree.

I booed Goodes because he's a dick - I don't care about his heritage or colour. He's just a giant idiot.

Don't be an idiot Gary. Those photos are from the annual 'brown up' day, where the locals of the Eastern Suburbs get out the fake tans, pretend to be Porgy and Bess, and talk about the good old days when the B&W Minstrel Show was on telly, and how it is so hard to get good help nowadays.

Live baiting aside, the industry admitted to the culling of 17,000 dogs a year because they did not run fast enough.

Police those guys but the captains call is still punishing innocent people who's livelihood has been in the industry for generations and are all now unemployed.

There was an article stating how much the greyhound industry contributed to the NSW economy, ridiculous amount of money (hundreds of millions form memory) including directly to the industry as well as satellite industries.

Talk about a knee jerk.

What a waste... Imagine how many greyhound fur tuxedo's they could have made from all those dogs.... Another way they could have made money from the industry!!

The industry insisted that they could fix this by self regulation. They did nothing. Moot point now, it's over with ACT, Victoria etc all expected to follow.

The greyhound industry may have generated income for NSW, however that money is not lost. Punters will find alternatives and channel their cash into another pastime. So the revenue is not lost, it will be spent elsewhere and NSW consolidated revenue will not suffer one cent.

For an industry that earned their livelihood from dogs, they are not dog lovers.

So we are going to need a loan to buy the next family pet dog soon when demand outnumbers supply

Your assumption is that the bulk of dogs sold to the public are $1,000 cavoodles from pet shops. I bet they move a small percentage of household pets and that breeders sell the bulk already.

Rubbish

The breeders and trainers that will stay in the industry will be forced to move interstate, so will the satellite industries so that money is lost for good.

Then the tracks themselves will be sold off for good, the regeneration of funds will be lost for good.

Yeah and when the breeders realise they can charge more because their competition has been forcibly closed do you think they wont?

The "revenue" from the NSW Greyhound industry would be 95% to betting agencies who are not based in NSW anyway.
