Central Division apparently won the State A Grade Carnival last weekend. Crowd ...in atrocious conditions admittedly ....measured in the dozens ........... a far cry from the days when the State Carnival / Country Championships were jam packed.

PS. Personally i think they should pick 2 squads and send them to two separate developing areas (overseas or domestically) like the NSW Country boys now do.

I travelled to the State Carnival several times in my youth. I recall spending a day atop the range with a mate. That sort of carefree indulgence is now beyond me lest I walk the earth at least another 15 years.
