NRL.com says we had the easiest draw of 2017

People are kidding themselves not wanting to accept that the draw played a huge part in us making the 8. 2 soft draws in two yeaars for Griffin, he is blessed.

That might be so but others had just as easy Parra for example in top 8 teams

Played Storm once without SOO players
Played Roosters once
Played Broncs twice
Played Sharks once
Played us once
Played Manly once
Played Cowboys twice and once when they had no spine

Had 14 games at ANZ staduim.

So while we had an easy draw we weren't alone a point missed by our haters out there

Because up until mid season, we were making a meal of games against decent opposition. Hard to say it was an easy draw when we were making every team look like world-beaters. It's no coincidence that our run coincided with getting to play a string of also-rans.

Or Bulldogs and Raiders etc weren't going to be in the finals either. 10/24 games were against teams in the top 8 last year. As I expect next years draw will be too

based on those stats most of the top 8 had soft draws.

Then again - what is a soft game. Tigers, Knights ?? All good on their day.

As Billy pointed out Parra finished fourth with injuries and a new halves pairing(both used as excuses for Griffins results on here).
Imagine if we got the draw Newcastle got, we would've been bottom four.

Whatever!
The top eight all basically had "easy" draws.
It happens every year. The higher you finish the easier the draw next year and vice versa. Pure statistics!

Does top 4 matter? Like they were out week 2 of the finals like us both teams will be disappointed where they finished

Yes it matters in more ways than one and you know it, how ridiculous. Insinuating there is no difference between finishing fourth or seventh is a new level bias on these forums.

How? We both finished in week 2 in the finals? Both of us were average teams and got shown that in the finals. Them having 2 or 3 more wins v lower teams did nothing to help them when it mattered as it didn't us
