If those guys coming through are looking as good as you say then I agree. However I'm just wondering whether Bennett is of the mindset of giving the same blokes we started the year with the chance to gel and come right as a unit. We were all saying a few weeks ago that that seemed to be one of our biggest problems, so he might stick with that team for a while yet and give it the biggest chance he can.

That being said, it surely wouldn't effect the team too much if you were to give one new guy a crack off the bench every now and then. Tets in particular is one that surely must be knocking on the door, he looked really promising last year.

Going off the Mounties game Cook has gotten even better and wouldn't look out of place in the starting side for first grade. You can't coach the class and determination Cookie has.
Mantellato, Kelly and Davis also looked very good, wouldn't be shocked if Davis gets a FG spot if Tyrone doesn't impress.
O'Donnell seems to have started to have a dig and actually realise just how big he really is.
Likiliki deserves the FG spot over Sau.
Chris Adams/Mitch Williams are a good hooker combination, definitely better than using two backrowers in Hilder/Costigan imo.

well, Adams is getting a crack this week, so we'll see. he certainly can't go worse than Nev did last week.

Lost to the bears 25-24 after leading 24-4 at halftime. It was a disgraceful second half. One out all the time we never move the ball from one side to another. Once it does move out it stops with the second rowers. No game plan. It didn't take long for the bears to work out we only play one out. 2 of our tries came from drop ball by the bears. We had a strong squad on paper but that's about it on paper only. There has to be a rethink in the coaching staff i.e get rid of them.

Yep footinmouth ive been saying it all year that the second rowers are clogging up the backline in nsw cup, not a free flowing backline movement to be seen. I think the coaching staff needs a review as do some seemingly automatic selections that are obviously not working. I dont expect many of the players in nswcup that currently have 1st grade contracts to survive beyond this year at the club.

Willie was straight into the NSWCup side after he signed too. Its not like Dane has jet lag or isnt match fit, especially at that level

Doesn't Dane need to be named this week for one of the squads to play for the knights this year? if he isn't in NSW cup this could mean he will play firsts. Or Wayne wants to see how he slots in at training before he decides which team he will run out for.

Gagai isn't allowed to play until he gets an official release from the Broncos which is yet to happen. If they complete the paperwork by the weekend he'll be a late inclusion into the NRL or NSW Cup side.

Sounds like our NSWCup side is defending their line well and grinding out a good win v the Vulcans

Has the playing group finally turned the corner? Bloody hope so

Saw the game, was a tough slog in the mud.
Players that went well.
Halfback- Davis went well made a good break to setup a try.
Wingers - Mantellato scored 2 tries went well.
- Mate came in for wes. Went really well scored a try made plenty
of hitups and solid in defence. deserves to be in the team.
Centre - Mata utai was solid in defence, and good in attack. Only blemish
was kicking instead of draw & passing to Mate who was unmarked.

Forwards - Filipo was very solid in defence
- Tuimavave was also very willing in attack and defence.

Hilder has an indifferent game and was quickly replaced. Zeb was ok without doing anything special.
