Notice John Stanley in his (shush position as a GWS ambassador)noted he spoke to a few fans at GWS netball, and they are gradually via the netball getting followers to the football team.

Even with only a small section on AFL,they still seem to get a boot licking pro AFL comment, usually by a Vic media jerk or a fumbler with a rl background.

Geez that Whately is a nancy.I'm sure he's been bowled over by his pet rabbit.

As an outsider here (As in, someone from Melbourne lol). The problem with Stanley, is that he doesn't really express passion for any sport. You could easily replace him with someone from insiders, and they'll look similarly out of place.

I only watch if Roy Masters is on, which is usually when they have Caroline Wilson on too. She's shown up to only know anything about one sport.

John Stanley is a media light weight .. let's be honest .. he is now host of a breakfast show on a lifestyle radio channel, hardly a heavy hitter.. if he gets 5k out of afl a year as a bullshit ambassador good look to the nude nut

Francis leach seems about the only credible host on offsiders .. obviously a melbournite from the trendy south east .. but does take an interest in the storm and other big nrl matters

The show overall is ok but it's a melbourne show .. there is probably 50 people behind the scenes that are afl loving Melbourne people it's hardly surprising

IMO the Offsiders is a bootlicking AFL lifestyle show .The fact they left out AFL on one only occasion suggests, someone nicked the AFL house script from the Producer(an AFL git).

Lol get your hand off it. They were criticising Solioa not being sent off, and laughing at Ricky Stuart. Every NRL fan has been doing that.

When they talked about Ferguson and Dugan's SoO antics, they rightly said it was stupid of them but not the reason why NSW lost the series. They were actually very positive about QLD's culture and the quality of their spine etc.

They were hugely positive about the NRL for the last two to three weeks while being quite critical of the AFL- funnily enough there has been not one single post in this thread during that time.

They opened the show with two negatives of our game:
- the high tackle on Billy Slater and no send off
- the "very big bender" Dugan and Ferguson had days prior to the Origin.

About half way through the show, they talked about an AFL fan who lit a flare at Adelaide Oval during a game. They condemned it for 20 seconds and moved on!
