On a cobweb afternoon
In a room full of emptiness
By a freeway I confess
I was lost in the pages
Of a book full of death
Reading how we'll die alone
And if we're good, we'll lay to rest
Anywhere we want to go
In your house I long to be
Room by room patiently
I'll wait for you there
Like a stone
I'll wait for you there
Alone
On my deathbed I will pray
To the gods and the angels
Like a pagan to anyone
Who will take me to heaven
To a place I recall
I was there so long ago
The sky was bruised
The wine was bled
And there you led me on
In your house I long to be
Room by room patiently
I'll wait for you there
Like a stone
I'll wait for you there
Alone
Alone
And on I read
Until the day was gone
And I sat in regret
Of all the things I've done
For all that I've blessed
And all that I've wronged
In dreams until my death
I will wander on
In your house I long to be
Room by room patiently
I'll wait for you there
Like a stone
I'll wait for you there
Alone
Alone

One of the most energy filled gigs Ive ever seen was ASlave @horden. Definitely in my top 2 live gigs Ive ever seen & Im not sure if i have seen the other one. Cornell & Morello. Cornello. Just beasts on stage.
Broke my finger in that f**king mosh. LOL
This was sad news. Some are reporting it may be suicide. Crap.
I also liked his solo stuff.

Hated him
Was way too talented
Played great guitar
Sang like a freakin god
And was a stunningly handsome man

Saw them at the hordern in the 90's

My favourite band was You Am I
So when SG saw them play at a very early BDO ( pre hi fi way )and decided to take them on the road through the USA I was sold.
What a gesture.

Possibly the best rock voice in my lifetime

Yep that was the gig, You Am I played first and went alright. Lots of younguns there because of them and stormed the stage as soon as they came on. When I came out of the concert there were heaps of concerned looking parents staring in my direction. Haha. I guess they didnt realise the older crowd that came to see the legends of grunge.

Soundgarden's last album was disappointing. Shame really but I guess that those pieces of genius belong in their respective era's.

Edit: Reports are he hung himself. SMH. That means shaking my head not Sydney Morning Herald btw.

There is a bonus cd called "someone else's crowd"
It came with the first release of You Am I's hi fi way
It is when they opened for sound garden in the USA in front of a msssive crowd.
At one point Rogers mentions that sound garden were watching from the side of the stage ... he always says it was sound garden who gave them their first shot.

Christ watching, the Youmies (Hi Fi Way) support soundgarden (Superunknown) would probably be the ultimate gig for me.

Definitely the best rock voice i ever heard - and up there with the best voice full stop. Could make the most average ballad (he did write a few of those) sound amazing.
