Bump. Think we have won 1 in 7 games. Close game today, lost by 2. Doesn't help with Siejka and Tia-Kilifi out. We really need to start winning coming into the finals.

Also dosent help when the team hates the coach he had a list of rules at the start of the year and has broken everyone of them apparently they can't win the comp now.

Well starting VTK off the bench cost us 4th. It was 18-6 when he came on. It's knockout every week now. Very poor last 10 weeks. winning 2 from 10

I think they still have a chance. On their day we can be very dangerous. But the problem is that they need to be on their day every game, and we need VTK to take lead.

Evans named. Eisenhuth/VTK/Cartwright backrow. Jennings/Satini centres. Campbell-Gillard on the bench Really no excuses not to win here.

We definitely have the team. Besides our 78-0 win against last placed Titans, our form hasn't been that great.

Looking at the squad most are straight from Ball. The season being twice as long. School footy commitments have played their part.

All are rested no niggling injures, no school footy. I pressume a huge rev up speech from Gus. Should led to a better performance.

We have been close so even a rise of 10% performance we win those games. So we aren't far off

We were always going to struggle without Harry S. He was the 7 who guided us around and his kicking game has been sorely missed. There is no doubt had he been fit and available we would have finished in the top four and been competing for the premiership. That is not going to happen now but the majority of these kids are available again next season so it is not all doom and gloom.

I have been told that Panthers have also signed former Leeds Rhinos academy prop James Davies for next years Toyota Cup squad.

Gus is going to have to buy a second property, Cranebrook or elsewhere, to house all the junior new recruits. Mark Horo is obviously going to need an assistant to look after all the kids being drafted in.

Four join Wests Tigers

Emoni Narawa
Thursday, October 18, 2012

ANOTHER four secondary school players will join the West Tigers rugby league club at the end of this year.
Sila Central High School Under-18 utility back Nemia Cavuilati, Nasinu Secondary School's lock forward Peniasi Uluvula and Queen Victoria School duo, Ratu Emori Tuisese and Mateo will be joining the NRL club during its off-season next month.
And Nasinu Secondary School rugby league winger Sakeo Raloa has put penned a three-year contract with NRL club Penrith Panthers.
Raloa might follow the footsteps of his former teammate Marika Koroibete who now has proven his worth for the Tigers.
And according to assessment done by their coaches at Nasinu, Raloa is a better player of the two.
Fiji National Rugby League development officer Joe Rabele says Raloa could impress for the Panthers in the Toyota Cup competition.
"Yes, Raloa has signed a three-year contract with the Panthers. He will start from the Toyota Cup just like Koroibete. They played together in Nasinu and I believe Sakeo has what it takes to be another star of the code in the future," Rabele said.
"According to their teachers in Nasinu, Sakeo is the better player compared to Marika. I believe that Sakeo will have a bright future with the Panthers.
"He is a good player with alot of skills and we have been training him every week here at our gym."
Meanwhile, Cavuilati, Uluvula, Tuisese and Mateo were awarded scholarships where they could also extend their studies while training with the Tigers.
Rabele added the four would leave the country at the end of the year.
He said they had a few more secondary school players in line to broaden their rugby league knowledge overseas. Rabele said next year would be another year of recruitment for overseas scouts.
