"All we can do is make it feel like home for our fans, dress it up in blue and gold and really work on the branding.
FFS Bernie.

Who gives a f**k about the branding? Unless you mean the kinky cattleprod type?

Play decent footy week in week out, and people will come. Simple as that. "Branding" is just a con to suck money out of the maximum amount of dumb people when the team is playing shit. Kind of like our pet memberships....

He's talking about how to make the atmosphere at Homebush like Parra... branding don't do shit for a soulless concrete ampitheatre.

Good article about the design of stadiums with quotes from the people who have designed Parramatta.

^^^ following those links, Orlando has a video about access to their new stadium

In the video, they explain that they have a clear bag policy meaning that you cannot bring in any bag unless it is a (max) 1 gallon clear bag. They also have airport style metal detectors which each punter needs to walk through.

Opening day

Very similar stadium design to the new Parramatta. Ours is more complete with corners filled in and the roof having far more coverage.
Orlando's stadium has a capacity of 25500. Ours will be 30000 + a little, so the filled in corners on all 4 sides + some proposed small public standing areas (not the safe standing terraces) probably provide that extra 5 k capacity
It's clear to see that the same designers were involved.
The full end safe standing at Orlando is awesome in improving atmosphere - as per the article above with quotes from Populous - the stadium designers.

Security is extra important in a ghetto as every second merkin is packing. I won't be satisfied with any less than a mandatory cavity search policy.
